Navigating cancer can be as daunting emotionally and mentally as it is to physically deal with the prognosis and treatment. People lose their identity, feeling like they are a cancer patient, not a person. It can be an isolating and lonely journey.
Look Good Feel Better has been providing a range of free sessions since 1991, both online and in person for anyone with any cancer at any stage of treatment.
The well-being programmes range from the signature skincare and make-up classes held in 43 communities throughout New Zealand, through to live online sessions, on-demand videos, information expert Q&As and podcasts.
The Look Good Feel Better programme is the only one of its kind in New Zealand focused on practical and tangible support for skin, hair and mind and body – providing feel better moments, tools and tips to help people face cancer with confidence.
Our programmes are free for everyone going through cancer; however, they are not cost-free. Each year more and more people are diagnosed with cancer and the costs of providing our programmes grow each year.
Your support of a gift in your Will will have a significant impact rebuilding confidence for people, like Melissa, facing cancer for generations to come.
