Live Online Video Classes – with guest speaker

Feel Better Live Online Video classes offer the same practical advice to care for your skin, hair and body as our men’s community classes, but connecting in a convenient way with others who may be experiencing something similar.

Men's Online Live Video Classes

These classes also give you the exclusive opportunity to listen and chat with a guest speaker. This may be someone from the professional sporting arena, a respected Kiwi, someone with an inspiring story to share, or an expert who can give you more advice to help you feel more like you.

These live online classes are ideal for those who may have difficulty getting to a local class, don’t have one close by, or need more flexibility in their schedule.

They are also great for those who have already attended a class and would like a refresher on the tips given, or if you are feeling a bit unsure of what to expect and would like a taster in the comfort of your own home.

What the Class Covers

Using easy to use live video Zoom, you will connect with a Feel Better class facilitator and group of around 8-12 men. The class is relaxed, fun and interactive so you will be able to chat, ask questions and connect with others in a similar situation.

The guest speaker will share their own interesting, inspiring story; or they may be an expert in a relevant field and provide advice to help you feel more like you. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and chat informally with them.

Our trained facilitator will then share advice and practical tips to care for your skin, hair and body. You will receive a pack filled with a specially selected range of donated skin care and toiletries.

A Feel Better Live Stronger class is free for men with any type of cancer at any stage. It’s about helping men look after themselves, feel stronger and more in control during and after their cancer treatment

The class is a relaxed one and a half hour session full of practical and easy to follow tips and techniques. It covers the areas of hair, skin, body and mind.

What the Class Covers

The class is a relaxed one and a half hour session full of practical and easy to follow tips and techniques. It covers the areas of hair, skin, body and mind.

Skin, Hair, Body, Mind

  • Skin

Cancer treatment can change your skin – make it dry, itchy, flaky or irritated. A few simple steps in the morning and at night can help you look healthier.

  • Hair

Some cancer treatment can cause temporary hair loss. There is no way to predict this side effect with absolute certainty. However, you can be prepared.

  • Body

During your cancer treatment plan your body is working overtime to fight cancer. There are some things you can do to help manage the impact.

  • Mind

Right now, being strong isn’t about what you can bench press. It’s about the new marathon you are running – your cancer and treatment – and how you manage it.

Class participants will be given a pack of items to support them with tips they have learnt throughout the Feel Stronger Live Better Class back at home.

Locations

The Feel Stronger Live Better Classes are held in Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Hawke’s Bay, Nelson, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Rotorua, Tauranga, Thames, Wellington and Whangarei.
