Online – Q&A – Bowel Cancer; Help and Advice 29/10

Register NowSunday, 29 October — 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Feel Better Online Q&A sessions focus on well-being and are open to anyone with any type of cancer at any stage. At this session we catch up with Victoria Thompson, support service nurse at Bowel Cancer New Zealand. Victoria will share information about the support available for patients and whānau, general information about bowel cancer and most often asked questions about treatment. Her experiences include supporting those who have been diagnosed with bowel cancer or their close family members. With an extensive background in community palliative care, Victoria is a ‘people person’ who loves helping others. “If you’ve been diagnosed with bowel cancer, or someone you love has, don’t be afraid to reach out for support,” she says. “I can point you in the right direction, help you figure out all that confusing bowel cancer terminology and the effects of different treatments and even help you work out what to say to your family.’
