Our free classes are for any man, with any type of cancer, at any stage of their cancer treatment. In this class our speaker is Karim Rostami who will share his story on overcoming adversity. He survived the polio virus as a child and after multiple treatments and years of muscle therapy learned to walk again. Karim came to New Zealand as an 18-year-old asylum seeker from Afghanistan. He fled the Taliban and came with no family, no money and no English. Along with five others between the 23rd of February and March 6th he will embark on the Great Barrier Challenge and swim a total of 100km to raise money for St John.
