Wellness Wednesdays at The Centre

Wellness Wednesdays with The Centre offer free yoga and green smoothies to people undergoing treatment for cancer, in our beautifully appointed studio.

Knowledge is power, and we understand how frightening it can be when you’ve essentially handed over your body to the medical fraternity. That’s why we offer a safe haven where cancer patients can meet like-minded people and learn to empower themselves with tools such as breathing, meditation and nutrition. Classes are split into two age groups — under 40s (every Wednesday at 1.15pm) and over 40s (every Wednesday at 3pm). There are 17 stairs into our studio. Climbing these will be the biggest physical challenge of the class (and we are of course available to assist).

In the heart of urban Auckland, The Centre is a friendly, serene little Oasis where some of Auckland’s best yoga teachers and natural health therapists have been brought together.

Ideally located above the Little Bird Unbakery, The Centre offers a unique multi-style yoga studio along with a variety of other wellness practitioners and disciplines, with clients able to pick and choose the services that meet their needs. It’s the brain child of Rebecca Wadey, a busy working mother whose brush with cancer in her 20s sparked a life-long quest to optimise the health of herself and her family. “I’ve been so inspired by the people I’ve met and energy I’ve generated for myself through yoga, raw food and natural therapies, it’s a dream to bring them together and create the kind of place where lives can be turned around.”
